Rampa Prenestina

Art, in its many expressions, is a highly effective tool of inclusiveness in the field of human relationships. (P. Freire)

Rampa Prenestina is a Cultural Association for Social Promotion, which since 2013 has set up a social laboratory made up of artists, art educators and therapists. Alongside production in various artistic disciplines, we carry out activities in the field of non-formal education based on the encounter between artistic languages and socio-educational paths aimed at minors and young adults from disadvantaged social groups. We promote the knowledge of music and other forms of art (theater, circus, dance, visual arts, crafts) through playful-educational courses as a method of inclusive pedagogy

Our Mission

The promotion of art as an educational tool to support the social inclusion of Roma and non-Roma youth through artistic and socio-educational projects. The knowledge of art in its countless expressions that helps young people in the development of a positive personality and guidance on the path of active citizenship.

Our Vision

Generations of creative, positive young people aware of their potential role as active, responsible citizens in shaping an equitable, multi-cultural, non-violent society.

Our partner

Through the international relations established thanks to the Erasmus+ project we observe in the young Roma involved, an exponential growth of awareness of the reality of the outside world and of the sense of belonging to an international reality which, in the case of the Roma diaspora, is today rich in cultural variants while maintaining the common denominator of origins through language and traditions.

The meeting between the participating associations took place thanks to the leading association Independent Theater Hungary on the occasion of the “Roma Heroes Festival”, which they organize annually in Budapest. The international meetings in Rome, Bucharest and Budapest, which took place as part of this project, represented precious moments of knowledge, comparison and exchange between the various realities in the name of creativity, mutual support and converge today in the conception of further projects of creative collaboration on common themes.

The common denominator between these organizations is support for the inclusion and integration of Roma youth through artistic and socio-educational projects. They promote the knowledge of different forms of artistic expression (theater, music, circus, dance, visual arts, crafts) which form the basis of the different methods of inclusive pedagogy of the various associations. The common objective is the support of young people in increasing their self-knowledge and the awareness of their skills, their talents and the potential implicit in each one of becoming active citizens, capable of forging their own future, positively influencing their community and the society that surrounds them. Build

No project is too big or too small

The fight against educational poverty is the main objective of our activities, in the fight against social discrimination.
We offer young people from Roma communities and all those young people, regardless of origin or ethnicity, who live in situations of social hardship – the opportunity to improve their preparation and training, guided by professional artists and craftsmen in a welcoming and inclusive environment, through the knowledge and practice of artistic activities and crafts related to the art world, which are also potential tools for entering the world of work.
